It came to our understanding that the company ISPRENEWAL.NET is illegally harvesting your details from the WHOIS database and contacting you with domain renewal messages.
Not only is it illegal to harvest whois details in this way, they also try to take your domain to their company by sending out a warning that your domains will expire.
040 hosting does NOT auto expire domains unless a customer asks us to do so, this means that if you do not send us a ticket from your personal support account the domains will be automatically renewed as per your domain contract with us, and you do not need to fear your domain will be lost.
Update: For those visiting this thread because they receive an email of ISPRENEWAL.NET just ignore the mail; and contact your registrar of your domain to be sure your domain will stay registered. You will not need to contact ISPRENEWAL in any way or form.
Update 2: Some say ISPRENEWAL is not a scam; however they tend to forget that WHOIS harvesting is illegal; there is no legal way to obtain whois data and use it for spam mails. Tricking people in renewing a domain with them by emailing them directly with stolen whois information is what we call a SCAM.
